Dear all

I had setup win xp in order to share my internet
connection, dsl with other profiles on my pc without
disconnecting.

eg i log in my profile and connect to net. I remain
online on messenger and switch profile to another user on
the pc, while we both remain online.

However at this time, i always get disconnected?

Can anyone help me. I am using XP Professional, and that
was the mail reason i took xp, coz i could not do that on
2000 professional.

A friend had that setup this way on his pc, but I cannot
get it on mine.

Any help will be appreciated,

feel free to mail me on (e-mail address removed)

thank

regards

1. Open the Network Connections folder.
2. Right click the dial-up connection.
3. Click Properties.
4. Click Options.
5. Put a check mark in the box "Prompt for name and password,
certificate, etc".
6. Click OK.
7. Double click the connection.
8. Put a check mark in the box "Save this user name and password for
the following users".
9. Click "Anyone who uses this computer".
10. Click Dial.

After that, the connection will stay open when switching users. You
can go back to step 5 and un-check the box if desired.
