My Connection Screen keeps popping up and I am at a loss to explain
it. I do not have any programs set up to update automatically. I can
be working in my word processor, or not even at my computer and the
Connection Screen just pops up on my Desktop.
If the connection screen pops up because some program is trying to
connect to the Internet it would connect to that site when I click
"Connect." But, that is not the case, it just connects to my ISP and
does not open any website.
The only way I have been able to prevent this is to check the "Never
dial a connection," button in my Connection Properties.
I have checked with:
1. Full System Virus Check with up to date definitions.
2. CW Shredder
3. Adaware
4. Spybot
. . . and no problem is indicated by any of them.
Any other ideas would be appreciated
