connection properties dialog unaccessible

This is on a machine running W2k Professional (Service Pack 4).

When attempting to access the network connection properties
dialog via the Networking control panel, explorer.exe
crashes and restarts, and I'm unable to view the various
protocols/networking clients associated with that connection.

Additional networking weirdness includes the fact that I am
unable to map to a Windows share that previously was
accessible.

Any ideas on how to at least get the control panel view
working again?

Thanks,
Kevin

Try the steps in the following KB article:
