I have a cable modem connected to a Hub, and 2 computers
connected to the same Hub. Each computer has direct access
to the internet through the Hub and cable modem.(Not using
internet connection sharing)
My problem is this, the computers can ping each other
using their alternate IP addresses (192.168.0.3 and
192.168.0.4) but cannot connect to each other to share
files and printers.
When I try to view the workgroup I get an error
saying: "Workgroup is not accessible. You may not have
permission to use this network resource. Contact the
administrator to find out if you have access permissions.
The list of servers for this workgroup is not currently
available."
I have enabled NetBios in TCP/IP and made sure Computer
Browser was started on both machines, but I still get the
same error.
Anyones help in this situation would be greatly
appreciated.
Thanks, Eric
