Connection Problem "Help"

I have a computer running Windows XP that is connected to Tiscali via a USB
Speedtouch Broadband modem. How can I configure it so that when I startup my
computer the modem automatically connects to the Internet, without me having
to
click the connect icon.

This is a function of your modem and not the operating system (XP). Newer
DSL modems have the software to keep your username and password; yours
apparently doesn't. You can either replace the modem with one that has the
function you want or you can add a router. Check with your ISP for further
details about what hardware will work with your service.

What model Speedtouch?
If it has a network port (not USB) on it, use that & change to PPPoA.
