Matt
We have a LAN with about 50 PC's all running W2k Pro SP4
with a W2k Server with SP4.
Here is the problem - On only one PC on the network, the
user will occasionally get an error after connecting to a
mapped drive and has a file opened on this drive. Cables,
switches etc all checked out ok. Her scipt is the same as
everyone elses.
Here is the error message:
An error occurred while connecting to drive G:
Microsoft Windows Network: The local device is already in
use. This connection has not been restored.
After clicking on OK she can resume working on her file.
Sometimes this error message will hang and she has to wait
or use Task Manager to end task this window.
She is using Office 2003 when this happens. Suggestions
as to what to look for?
I have searched the knowledge base and could find a
resolution to this problem. It is not related to offline
files like is article 303339.
Thanks
