Connection fine, cannot view web pages or email

My connection is fine. I can connect but cannot view web
pages or access my email. I can ping 127.0.0.1 and ping
earthlink and get a reply, but something is missing
between my modem and IE. Tt is like they are not
talking. Earthlink support can't find the problem and I
have yet to find it at Microsoft.

Sounds like a dns hijack, caused by spyware. For help, get Spybot S&D
and HijackThis (both free), with help from SWI Forums. Start here for
instructions:

Dell Support won't mention spyware, by policy. Wouldn't surprise me
if Earthlink was doing that too.
