My computer is on a network. It was running fine one day,
and then all the sudden when I sign on to the Internet, it
takes it 30-40 seconds to "find the server". Before then,
it found the server instantly. I have scanned for viruses
and I have run Ad-Aware. Nothing there. Any suggestions?

Try checking the proxy settings. Is it trying to automatically find a server?

Here's where you check -
Go to Internet Explorer properties.
Click on Connections tab.
Click the LAN Settings... button
The first check box (Automatically detect settings) should NOT be checked. If it is checked, un-check it.
OK all the properties windows and restart Internet Explorer.

See if that helps with the speed.
