Connection between master slides (title and regular)

I use PP 2003. I want to add a second title master which I can use for animation purposes (the first title --> mouse click --> continued animation on second title). When I go to the slide master and copy/paste the title slide master, the regular text master is also copied. There appears to be somekind of link between the two, as indicated by the grey line that connects both slides. How did that happen and how do I disconnect the two?

Title masters are always linked with a slide master. It's inherent in PPT,
and you cannot disconnect the two. Just ignore the extra slide master if you
don't need it.

I believe that part of the logic has to do with the fact that the title
master is originally built from the slide master. You can go the other way
and have a slide master without a title master, though.

Thanks! It doesn't sound logical to me (why create something you don't
need?), but it works...
