Somehow in XP pro, IE6 I managed to "turn off" the auto
log off (dial up) feature, so now when I'm away from
home, (at home i'm on a wireless cable configuration),and
using a dial up connection, when I shut the browser down
the connection stays "active". I was in the "advanced"
selection of my "internet properties" but there is not a
check box to log off like there was in '98 and '95. Any
help available?
Thanks,
Nicktjr

Check your settings on the Connections tab of Internet Options. Select your
default connection and press the Setting button,
then in the dial-up settings section press the Properties button to display
the Connection Properties Dialog (you will also find this in your
connections folder)... on the Dialling tab you will find the settings for
Enable Idle disconnect.
