Dear All,

A few days ago I bought Windows XP and installed it on my
laptop. Before XP, I used to network 2 PC's and the main
operating system was Windows 2000PRO on both PC's and the
network was working fine.

However now, I can access the laptop through the main PC
(running windows 2000), but I cannot access the main pc
through the laptop. When I tried to search for the main
pc, and double clicked on it, XP asked me for a username
and password! How can I setup the network on my laptop?

THanks for your help

Two possibilities:

1. When the prompt appears on the laptop, enter a user name and
password that belong to a user account on the main PC.

2. Create a user account on the main PC with the same user name and
password that you use to log onto the laptop. The prompt won't appear
again.
