Windows XP Home Edition allows you to connect to resources in a domain,
but Windows XP Professional is the only version of Windows XP that allows
users to join and be managed by the domain.

XP Home is not designed to join a domain. In order to do so,
an upgrade to XP Pro will be required.

BEWARE:
xp home will work on nt 4.0 but msoft apparently recognized this and removed that option from service pack 1 - LAME - dont worry, just spend more money to upgrade to windows xp pro !!
