Hello there.

I apologize if this has come up before. I did try to
find matching request and answer.

I am not a network admin at work.
I would like to connect from my XP home from home
to a workstation assigned to me at work running w2k.

Is this possible without requesting from our IT admins?
Because if there is no way, then I can forget about it.

If it can be done one way or another, then would you give
me some directions. I am not computer illiterate.

Thanks in advance

Mike

This really isn't possible, unless you can arrange with the network admins
for some form of remote access. The ability to connect via VPN to a point
on the work network where you could ping the w2k workstation would be
enough--but that'll have to be provided by the network folks.

If you can arrange for that kind of access, then the link in your other
response might be of some use.
