Hello.

When I connect to a wireless network (either public wi-fi hotspot and
private home ADSL router), there's an error with the IP address if the MSAS
is on and I cannot connect because the IP address cannot be renewed.
If I turn it off, it searches and renews the IP address and connects with no
problem.
Is there anything I can do, settings I can change, to be able to use a
wireless connection with MSAS?

Thanks for your help.

Steffo

No, I am not.
There's only one account in my lap-top.
I can't figure out what's wrong exactly.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Steff

Open MSAS, go to Tools-> Real-time protection-> Internet Agent-> View
Internet Agent Checkpoints, deactivate the Wi-Fi Connection checkpoint and
check whether it solves the problem.
And please report the results here.

Sorry, but that doesn't solve the problem.
It's a bit weird because I could use a wireless connection with the older
MSAS versions,
but since I've installed the .615 I can't because the IP address is wrong or
cannot be found
and I'm getting the warning "limited or no connectivity".
If I shut down MSAS, I can connect with no problem and read the IP address,
sub-net mask, default gateaway, DNS server.
I tried to change IP and DNS in the manual mode and I've put the right
numbers in to see if that was a way to get around the problem, but it didn't
work.
I'm willing to experiment any suggestions to help out, if it's needed.
Cheers,
Steffo

When you have MSAS running and try to connect to the wireless network - go
to Tools-> Real-time protection-> View All Blocked Events - does MSAS show
anything there?

No, the errors are 0/0.
What else could block the acquisition of the IP address when I'm connecting
wireless,
considering that doesn't happen when I'm on the LAN cable of the same
network?

Do you require a security certificate for your wireless.
We are having problems with delivery of certificates via
group policy when MSAS is installed.
