I have one computer connected to the internet through a
DSL and a router connecting the other pc so that I can
share files, printer and the internet, but the second pcs
cannot see the first pc. What can I do to fix the problem?
I pinged the first pc and the router but it won't see it.
Thanks,
Will appreciate any help someone can give me.

Define "see". Really, that is the first step in fixing the problem.
I pinged the first pc and the router but it won't see it.

Do you mean the other PC won't resolve the name of the PC/Router?
Where is the Router's name registered (DNS, WINS) and how would
the other PC do the lookup...

If you don't have the router registered in a way the other PC can resolve
the name then you can use a Host file or LMHosts (or both) to make
it work.
