i have to connect two computer in to existed network: there is network in that i should connect two computers more. this two compuetrs have one switch that is connected to the existed switch. which cable should i use to connect this one switchs? should i put connector of that cable from the first switch to Uplink port (or any oder of 8 ports) on the second switch. and finally, both of them computers are using win98 se, how can i set up network that this 2 computers normally work in that network. i am really new with this. any help is more then welcome. thank you. sorry for bad english.

best regards, errno.

most modern switches now support auto-uplink which will enable you to use either a crossover or patch (straight through) cable to connect to switches.

Check with the manufacturer to see if this feature is supported. if not a cross-over cable should do the trick.
