I am sure that you buffs out there will find this question
ridiculous but I need to know the answer.

I have a lap top running Windows 2000 Proffessional and a
PC running Windows XP. What do I need to do to connect
the two together so that I can transfer files form the lap
to my PC?

Thanks

The default network settings on both should work fine. Connect the
computers using either:

1. A crossover cable, or:

2. A hub, switch, or broadband router and two regular cables.
