I have target with WXPe SP2. I added Terminal Services macro (components) to
image. Now I want to connect from another WXP computer:
- Log on to Windows XP Embedded window appears, it wants to me enter user
name and password.
- I enter user name "Administrator", but I don't know password, so I left it
blank
- After OK, message appears: "Unable to log you on because of an account
restriction".

It is due to password? How can I find out the password? What is the problem?

Thank you.

Jan,

You must have a password it cannot be left blank it is a security issue.
Try changing the adminstrator password to something other then blank and use
that when yuo want to log on to the terminal server.

yeah. the blank password can't be accepted.
you can set adminstrator's password on 'Administrator Account'
component.

OK, but if password is not blank, Login screen appears when system starts and
if I connect to system, login screen is there again. This behaviour is
undesirable for my system. I need see running application on the screen in
every situation, even if somebody connect to system throught Remote Desktop.

The question: Is it possible use Remote Desktop without any login screen?

Thanks.

If your system can be single user environment, try minlogon instead of
Winlogon. It will not prompt U for username & password.

Jan,

You are running into the Terminal Services limitation on XP(e). There you can have only one session active at one time. In other
words, if you are remote logging to the system using RDP it is going to lock the workstation.

There are some known hack on the Web to change the limitation to support more than one RDP connection to the XP box (basically you
have to reset a bit in the terminal server binary) but you can't support interactive session there anyway.
