connecting to workgroup file through citrix

I am having an issue with a secured Access2000 database.
It works beautifully over my network, but for those
accessing it via a Citrix session they cannot even see the
database! I have put the database on a shared directory
with the workgroup file in the same directory. These files
are hidden. I have created a shortcut that opens using the
workgroup file in another directory. When the Citrix users
access the shortcut it opens and says cannot find database
named "...". I have tried accessing it that way myself and
can do so only if I create a shortcut to the database that
doesn't open the workgroup file. Any ideas?

Thanks

Although the share is hidden, do users have full permission to the folder
where the mdb is?

yes

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft
Office\Office\MSACCESS.EXE" "M:\Shared\MIS\Projects\Supply
Chain Information Systems SCIS\SMSSAP\SCIS_Issue_Database
v. 1.1.mdb" /wrkgrp "M:\Shared\mis\Projects\Supply Chain
Information Systems SCIS\SMSSAP\system.mdw"

FYI - there is nothing in the Start In field of the
Shortcut properties.. M:\ is the name of our shared
network drive. The person coming through Citrix can see
this directory. If I create a shortcut directly to the DB
without using the workgroup file it is fine and she can
open it. Kind of bypasses all of my security though..

Two thoughts here...

1. There have been issues with files buried so deep in the path. Can you
put the mdb and mdw higher in the folder hierarchy?

2. If you create a shortcut directly to the mdb without the the workgroup
switch, they are accessing it using their default system.mdw (which means it
isn't secure). Unless they are joined by default to your secure mdw.

I realized your #2 thought, and agree that it would be a
serious issue. But what is odd to me is that the shortcut
works for them as long as they don't have to go through
the workgroup switch. I will check to see if I move it
higher up in the folders if it works then.
