How can I connect to a Win XP Pro machine through unc?
I've tried the unc (\\) followed by the machine name.
When I receive the prompt for username and password. It's
not accepting the password or the username. Am I missing
something? Thanks in advance.

Hi Steven!

Are the credentials you are providing the same credentials you provide when you log onto that Windows XP system? Are these machines in a domain or in
a workgroup?

W2K and XP need to know the useraccounts from all computers that want to
connect to it.

There is a security option on XP Pro for network access sharing and security model.
Check that it is set to classic. --- Steve
