Connecting to SQL 2000 from XP

I have XP Professional with Access 2002 and a Win2000Pro
running SQL 2000 connected through a hub. Both machine
see each other. My access to all the SQL functions on the
Win 2000 machine are fine using the Enterprise Manager.
When I try to setup an ODBC from the XP to the Win2000
using Sql server authentication I error even though the
ODBC wizard shows my SQL Server as the only choice in the
wizard select SQL server box.

Where can I go to research what might be wrong?

you try to do it by going into configuration panel and you can setup your
ODBC.
