connecting to sites

I am connecting to the internet, but I can-
not get onto any websites. What
should I do?

Ask in a newsgroup that is devoted to Internet topics; this one is for
Microsoft Access database software. And, be a bit more specific when you ask
there -- what is it that makes you believe you are "connecting to the
Internet" if you aren't "getting into any websites" (seems to me that only
getting to a website is proof that you've connected)? Clearly, your
newsreader is getting through, but that doesn't have much/anything to do
with your browser which is how you get into websites.

Tsk, Larry! Don't tell me you're one of those youngsters who think the
Internet = the Web!? <eg>
