Connecting to my home computer

Everyone always talks about connecting to their work computer from home. I
want to do the opposite.

I would like to run Remote Desktop access (or at least file access) of my
home computer (XP Pro) sitting in a LAN behind a router.

Doesn't Windows already have the needed software to allow those types of
remote connections?

How do I make that connection?

See this page for help using Remote Desktop...

Use a *STRONG* password, possibly a high number listening port (security
through obscurity) and/or run Remote Desktop through a VPN or SSH tunnel.

Make sure you clear this with your work network administrators. There may be
company policies against connecting an untrusted system (your home PC) to
the work trusted network...

Please post questions concerning Remote Desktop to the
microsoft.public.windowsxp.work_remotely news group.
