Connecting to a projector

How do I connect my desktop to a projector? There is only 1 VGA socket on my
video adapter card and I want to see the image on my PC screen as well as
the projector.

Hi, unless your projector has a passthro then you'll need a video splitter
pref a powered one to retain the brightness...

Absolutely agree unless your video adapter has digital and analog output.
If so you may be able to use the digital output for monitor or projector and
the other output for the other device.

While I have not used this model splitter, the price is pretty good (Watch
URL wrap) I have purchased from Buy.com before without problems and have
otherwise no connection to the company.

Hi, unless your projector has a passthrough

Most of them have this, in essence it's an internal splitter. The connection
goes Video Card --> projector --> Monitor.
