Hi All,

I am fairly new to this stuff, ok here's is my question... I have a friend
who is running windows xp pro sp2 on Earthlink dial up internet service.

I am running windows xp pro sp2 on Verizon DSL internet Service.

Is their a way to set up a network, in which she can connect to ISP
connection, basically allowing her to access the internet through my
computer. This may sound dumb but i am new so please bare with me.

The reason i ask is because Verizon DSL is not set up in her area YET. in
the next month or so they plan to do that.

What about using the virtural private network? can i do that? if anyone can
give me a solution then that would be greatly apreciated. Once again i thank
those for taking the time to read my message i know i am slow, but i want to
learn some of the neat things that the computers can do these days.

thanks again, Lisa Ann

Yes, that is possible, but her connection will be still on dial-up to her
ISP (56k modem). She will never get DSL speed while using 56k modem, so it
is pointless.
