So what are you really trying to do? Webmail is an e-mail service that
normally requires a web browser to use since communications with that
service are via HTTP.
Are you saying that you have an HTTP e-mail account defined for Hotmail
within Outlook?
Or are you trying to use an HTTP-to-POP proxy running local on your host
to allow you to define a POP e-mail account in Outlook but connect to an
HTTP webmail provider, like using YahooPOPs to get your Yahoo webmails
or Hotmail Popper for Hotmail?
Or is the product that you are using for e-mail actually the Outlook Web
Access (OWA) which is part of and an integrated component of Exchange?
If so, are you using OWA at work or through a VPN (virtual private
network) from home to get to the Exchange server inside your company?
If you're using OWA, the best place to get help would be from your
company's mail administrator or their IT department on why your VPN
isn't working or why your Exchange account won't let you connect using
OWA.
