Connecting from one computer is different than another

I have four computers networked together using Win 2K.
When I open #2 from Computers Near Me on #1 the share file
list comes right up. When I open computer #1 from
Computer #2 it asks me for a sign on name and password.
This is a closed network so there is no need for
passwords. How do I fix #1 to behave like #2 and by-pass
username and password?

Make sure that the username (and password) used to logon to computer #1
exists on computer #2 and vice versa.

Enable the guest account on computer #1. This should accomplish what you are attempting. For more information take a look
