Hello,

Well the problem is simple: I cant connect for our
Win2000 server to any of our other computers on our lan
(Win98&Win95). I get an error messages "The account is
not authorized to log in from this station.". We do not
use active directory so that can't be the problem. I have
tried to change the network name of the Win98 computers .
with little luck. Help needed :)

I have had problems on my network where my 2000
professional clients were refused access to a server that
had allowed the connections the previous day. The problem
was that the Event logs had filled and we have Crash on
Audit fail set on our servers. We cleared the event logs,
after archiving them, and then deleted the registry key:

HK_Local_machine|system|CurrentControlSet|Control|LSA|Crash
OnAuditFail

I then recreated the Key and set the value to 1.

Not sure if you have the same problem. I am lucky enough
not to have to deal with 95 and 98 any more.

Sorry, does that mean you did install WINS?
Do you see the domainname when those W9x's are login in?
