When I'm plugging in my DV cam using the firewire port, the existing internet connection (cable modem) does not work anymore. It does not recover after removing the firewire connection and restarting either. I'm forced to use system restore to get back a working internet connection. What's wrong???

I'm having a very similar problem with trust usb 2 380
spacecam. As soon as I download the driver and install my
internet connection is no longer recognised by internet
explorer.

However I can ping my DSL router modem and my own IP
address, etc. But XP will not find the router.

After looking everywhere for an answer (and restoring
system about 10 times) I have finally got hold of trust
who told me it may be a hardware conflict with multiple
IRQ addresses being used... <whatever that means?> So
that is what I'm looking into at present which may
involve changing the BIOS for conflicting devices (but
doesn't look like XP will recognize the change without
reinstall).

Let me know if you get any answers!
