I hope someone out there can help me. I would like to
know if there is a way to connect two computers via LAN
sockets in each computer. I have set both my computers
to be in the same work group. But they can't see each
other. In Windows 98 my arrangement seemed to work fine
but now I have an XP computer and a WIN98SE computer and
they won't talk to each other. Please help me...

Regards,

Simon.

Yes, best way is through a hub or switch/router. This uses
standard cables, the pin connections are set within the box.

A cross-over cable will work directly.

Use the wizard in network connection to guide you.
