I have some really old records (78rpm) that I want to
make copies of. Is there any way to hook up an old
record player to a computer in order to make the copy?
If so, what do I hook up to where? The record player has
two connections to hook into speakers. My computer
appears to have an input jack.

Any help would be appreciated.

| You have already got it all figured out. Hook up the
| phonograph to the "Line-In" port of your sound card.
| download a program called "Goldwave" and just set the
| program to record from the "Line-In" jack.

You need to use the line-out of the record player NOT the loudspeaker
sockets - you'll blow your soundcard away ! If you choose to hook up via the
loudspeaker connections, turn th evolume way down. Good luck ...... BOOM, a
dead soundcard !
