Connecting a disk from another computer

Hi,

I have connected a hard disk from an old computer which ran XP Pro to
my current computer which runs XP Home.
While trying to reach the contents of the user folder (under documents
& settings) access is denied.

What can be done in order to retrieve data from my old disk? (I am
running XP Home)

Assuming the files were not encrypted, just take ownership. See:
