I'm trying to connect a laptop running Windows XP Home
Edition to a Windows 2000 server over the network but
can't seem to get it to join the domain. Is there anything
that I can do to make this happen? Pkease advise. Thanks.

Windows XP Home cannot join a domain, this is a limitation of the Home
edition. If you want to join a domain you need to upgrade to XP
Professional.

Log in this way:

In the user name/log on box, enter:

DomainName\username

Where DomainName is the name of your domain and username
is your log on or username. Then enter your password. Be
sure to use a backward slash (located near the Enter
key). Hope this helps!
