Hello,

Below are the details from a variety of tools. Basically, there are several
machines working find on the network. There is one that does not.
The machine is running winxp SP2
I cannot ping it by number from a remote machine or even from itself (though
loop ping ok). Browstat comes back with error 53.
I tried rebooting, reintalling driver, rollback driver, setting MTU lower,
LSP fix, winsock fix, disable firewall, static IP, DHCP

Nothing worked.
Any clues as to what I should pursue next would be appreciated.

Thanks!

For Xp - Control panel > Firewall > Advanced tab - ICMP settings > "allow
incoming echo requests" should be checked - keep in mind that unchecked is a
security setting.
