Hi,
When I am at home I use Remote Desktop Connection to connect to my Windows
XP Pro Computer, I don't have a problem with that, It is when I get to my
School that I would like to connect to my home XP Pro Computer. When I type
my IP address RDC says that it cannot connect. How do I do this?

You need to use the public IP, ie. the IP assigned by your ISP, of your PC
if its connected directly to the internet or the firewall/router it may be
behind. In the case of a firewall/router you also need to open/forward TCP
Port 3389 to the target PCs local LAN IP address.

You can get that by going to http://www.whatismyip.com and noting the
address. If your home ISP assigns IP addresses dynamically you could use a
free service like I do from No-IP.com to call your home PC by an alias or
fully qualified domain name. Go to http://www.no-ip.com for details.

Also check with the school network administrators about this. They may have
policies against connecting an untrusted system (your home PC/LAN) to the
trusted system (your school PC/LAN).
