Connect to Internet

Thanks for taking the time to read my question.

I have a 3 PC network. XP Desktop with Internet connection (dial-up), a
Linux PC that uses the XP Desktops Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) to get
on the internet, which works, and a wireless XP laptop which I cannot get on
the internet. My ICS works between the Linux PC and XP, but I can't get my
wireless XP laptop to connect to the Internet. The wireless laptop is on the
network as I can transfer files etc. and it does display the Internet Gateway
(ICS connection) in the Network Connections window. I have created a Network
Bridge between the LAN Connection and the Wireless Connection and have
updated the properties appropreately.

Not sure what else to do to get my wireless laptop on the Internet. Any
suggestions? I've been to
http://www.practicallynetworked.com/sharing/xp_ics/networkbridge.htm
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306126

but have not found any new info on how to solve my problem.

Thanks,

Brad

Hi
It is hard to give an answer since you did not indicated how your wireless
is configured to wirelessly connect to the host computer.
In general Wireless past a host computer using ICS can be a problematic
configuration, and sometimes does not work.
Any reason why you are Not using a regular Wireless Router topology?

I wrote the PracticallyNetworked article on the Network Bridge, and I
don't see why you would want to bridge the connections on the XP
laptop. Why have you created a Network Bridge?

How does the XP laptop connect to your network? If it uses a wireless
connection, is it connecting to an Ad-Hoc network or an Infrastructure
network? If you have a wireless access point or router, how have you
wired the router into the network?

What does the XP laptop show for IP address, subnet mask, default
gateway, and DNS server? What does the Linux PC show for those same
values?
