Yes! The word is true. I've been out for a while with other system work, but
after a windows reinstall and installing all updates, I then tried installing
updates for Windows Defender Beta 2, and it worked with no flaws! No User
Interaction Necessary! Well, except for the button push to search for the
update. So, the command line will soon be a thing of the past. If you still
experience this problem with updates not being successful, as a suggestion,
try uninstalling as much as you can of Windows Defender you have...registers
are untouchable...sorry. But if you have the files removed, that should be
enough. Reinstall the version available... Its updates are about 24 days old,
but once updated, it's clear sailing. Thanks Microsoft! One more success, as
usual...!
Working version:
Windows Defender Version: 1.1.1051.0
Engine Version: 1.1.1303.0
Signature Version: 1.14.1353.2
-Jmonkey
P.S. Can you work on this textbox we type our message in. Anytime it loses
focus, once you click on it, the cursor automatically focuses back up to the
top. It's a bit annoying after so many messages. But maybe if it is
intentional, that's fine. Thanks!
