Confusion between outlook calendar and "original calendar"

I am using the outlook connector to retrieve my hotmail email from outlook
(2007). Calendar works fine in outlook, however when I accept a meeting
request from someone the appointment gets stored in my "original calendar".
I'd like to delete the "original calendar", but outlook won't let me.
Alternatively I'd like to get meeting appointments to be stored in my outlook
calendar. When I look at Windows Live calendar it of course only has the
"original calendar". Suggestions on how to get back to a single unfied
calendar ?

Your "Original" calendar is the default and cannot be deleted. You can drag
and drop your items from the default calendar to the Hotmail calendar.

However, which is your default mail store, Outlook or Hotmail?

Not sure how to answer the "default" mail store question. I use Outlook to
access multiple email accounts (hotmail, gmail. etc.) Outlook has a default
calendar (that I also can't delete) and hotmail's default seems to be named
"original calendar" in outlook which I also can't delete. I don't really
care wheich one I use, I just don't want two "default" calendars. Note this
problem did not exist prior to using the outlook connector. Can you tell me
how to get back to a single default calendar ?

Sounds like you have all your mail accounts delivered to the same store
(.pst). Have you installed the Outlook Connector for Outlook?

Yes. The Outlook Connector is what has caused this situation...
From the first line of my question:
