Hi,

This is a bit complicated to explain, as I'm using a Dutch version of
Access, but let's give it a try.

I have a fieldname which in Dutch is called "aantal". That is,
unfortunately, also the Dutch translation for the function "count".
Now, what I want to do is to have the sum of all these "aantal"-fields,
added into one field. As soon as i put =sum([aantal]) in a calculated field
on a report, however, Access changes "aantal" automatically in "count",
thinking i want to use the function. Hence i cannot calculate what I want to
calculate.

Is there any solution for this, apart from renaming the field?

Thank you

Tobias

.
Have you tried creating a running sum? Microsoft has an
article about how to create one it is Article # Q233485
or link: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?
scid=kb;[LN];233485

I hope this works.
