I have a Windows Live ID but it's through Hotmail, is it not? I'm still stuck
trying to set up my Windows Mail... I was under the impression that Windows
Live gave you a new email address, rather than having you go through an old
email address to get a new one. It doesn't make much sense to me. I never had
an Outlook email to begin with, so I have nowhere to start! I'm not a
computer-type, but I'm trying to figure this out! =( Any help would be much
appreciated.

THANK YOU!!

Hi Kari,

Windows Mail will does not support HTTP website email like Hotmail.

Since you have a Windows Live ID and a Hotmail account, I would
recommend that you switch to Windows Live Mail Beta (WLM). WLM supports
Pop3, IMAP, HTTP website (EX: Hotmail) email, and is a lot more stable.
WLM will automatically import Windows Mail messages, accounts, and
settings into it. Contacts will have to be manually imported. (Tools,
Contacts, File, Import, Address book for current Windows User.)

'Windows Live Mail Beta' (http://get.live.com/betas/maildesktop_betas)
