I am a licensed user of Raxco PerfectDisk on my XP system. I am moving to a
fresh install of Vista, and I want to reinstall PerfectDisk, but I can't
seem to figure out how:

1. I originally got a ver. 7.0 of the product - that won't install on Vista.
2. They sent me a version 8.0 update - that won't install either.
3. I can install the eval 8.0 current copy, but that's an eval and I don't
think I got any kind of licnese - I think they send a download.

Do I have to ask them for one, will this cost me more? How do I get this
working on Vista RTM?

Thanks!

Ask Raxco support.

I own Version 8 Pro, it takes an updated version to run on Vista. Contact
their support and if your version qualifys (as mine did) they will send you a
link to download a Vista ready version.

I would guess you need the full version to install. I had no problem
installing the full version under Vista.

Don--

They told me they are going to have PD 8 for XP separate from a PD 8 version
for Vista. I have been using PD 8 as a full install for my Vistas now for a
few months, and a separate PD 8 for my XPs, and it works great--no problems
with a few new features. They have very accessible tech support and they
can answer any questions you have. As you know they have an eval that's
full functionality for Vista for 5 months which you could use until you get
things sorted out. I would think they have an upgrade for XP that would
work, but I don't know why yours won't.

You might want to give them a call on Tuesday using Contact numbers on their
website. If you have to, call and ask for Tech Support.

Good luck,

CH
