confused about graphic cards 'help''

right im from england ! i dont have a clue about graphic cards or video cards ? but i do know that my pc needs 1 of them

i have a amd sempron processor 2800+ with vista, now the question is what would be the best value for money because there is that many out there and i dont have a clue which 1 to buy !

i have a program called revit structure, i use it for work and it is a program that lets me draft (draw) in 3d, now that tells me on the specifications below:

System Requirements

  • Intel® Pentium 4 1.4 GHz or equivalent AMD Athlon processor

so does anybody have any clue or idea on which 1 to go for ?
 
I'd recommend a £50 style Radeon or GeForce.... it'd do the job.
However bewarned.... your Sempron will slow it down (Sempron = Athlon - cache)
 
It would also help if we knew what Motherboard you have fitted in your system simply because the specifications are different for PCI-E and PCI-e 2.0

Your Running Vista so I would think its one ot those two and definately not AGP?!?!

Well if Wiz recommends a £50 Graphics Card that is PCI-E and you get it, try to put it in your Motherboard and then you find out that your Motherboard supports AGP then you have kinda wasted £50!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (see i can use them as well)

If you run those programs, Or take the side off of your case and have a look at the Motherboard, the manufacterer and model will be on it.

Then tell us the model of the Motherboard you have then we can recommend a card that will work.

It will take you 2 minutes
