I have set up an acount for my wife. I have made it a limited account.
I assumed that she would not be able to see my own document folder.
yet, when i go into MY Computer, C: etc I see my data there.

How do i hide my document folder from her.

Andre;
You need to be using NTFS and not FAT32.
To check:
Open My Computer, Right click the drive, click Properties.
What does it say by "File System"?
To convert to NTFS:
http://aumha.org/win5/a/ntfscvt.htm
Data should be safe, back-up important data just in case.

Follow the appropriate link:
Windows XP Home:

Windows XP Pro:

Password all accounts with Administrator access including the default
Administrator.
Give all other users access only to Limited profiles.
You must tightly control all Administrators because Any Administrator
can do and undo anything any Administrator can do.
Take appropriate precautions to prevent losing the passwords.

You should use an Administrator profile for Administrator work.
Use a Limited profile for all routine work.

I am not keen on converting. I did it last time and then a year later
when my old computer went seriously wrong I could not boot to dos.
using a floopy to get to dos meant I could not see my c:

Andre.
Converting is usually safe, however there is no guarantee.

You need NTFS if you want any security at all including the privacy of
your folders.
