How do you configure Outlook to inform you of conflicting appointments and
especially if the appointmets are re-ocurring, i.e. when they conflict etc

On the original meeting invite, it should show this if you have your Outlook set to decline conflicting and/or recurring events and do NOT have auto-accept on.

Thank you, I do see the little grey box now telling me there is a conflict.
Is there a setting that will me to NOT schedule conflicting appts, or is the
little grey warning box the only thing outlook does to prevent me from
scheduling conflicting appts? Do later versions of outlook provide for a
better solution?

Yes you are quite correct, I feel I must not have worded my question
correctly, alas my user is a PA, and updates her employers calendar and the
employer also accepts appointments. So there are conflicting appointments in
the future and some are reoccurring. Is there a way in Outlook, programmable
or otherwise to view all these conflicts.

No not yet, but I'm toying with idea of learn outlooks version of VBA to see
if I can solve it that way, if I do I will post it so everyone who has
had/has this problem will be able to resolve it.

HI Milli,

I'm not sure if you were answering my question or Wills. I 've done what
you said and now I do see the little grey box now telling me there is a
conflict.
