Here's the scenario. I run AntiSpyware (Beta 1) and
close it. This leaves the icon in the notification area
and the process running. Now, when I attempt to open
cynwin bash, a unix-like shell that runs under windows,
the program does not open. A window, presumably some
kind of notification, floats rapidly up the right side of
my screen and off the top, moving too rapidly for me to
read it. This happens even with Real-time Protection
disabled. The problem occurs precisely when AntiSpyware
is running and at no other time.
This suggests two problems, one with the notification
window and a second with disabling Real-time
Protoection. Or is it just that I don't understand what
disabling RTP means.
