I'm on Windows 2000 Pro, and was on IE5 until Hotmail recently prompted me to
upgrade to IE6 - which I did over the web.
But when I went into Hotmail again, it again prompted me to upgrade to IE6
(I had).
I had an alternative Hotmail choice button to continue with Hotmail, but I
couldn't Attach>File, only got a blank Hotmail Help screen, and contact list
(on New Message page) was reading like: Fred <[email protected]> .
Got some long e-mail answers from Microsoft help desk, but the only bit that
seemed to work was to disable Norton Internet Security (I have an old 2004
version) before signing into Hotmail, and enabling again afterwards.
(Microsoft eventually gave up - and referred me to their 'pay-for' support.
I declined.)
Any answers ??
