My computer was running normally but then one day it would not start up.
Pushing the power button yielded nothing----, no video, no beeps, nothing!
Some trouble shooting showed if the power cord was disconnected and
reinserted, pushing the power button yielded a power light and both fans ran
for about 1 second and then nothing. Further attempts yielded nothing,
unless the power cord was again replaced.
It seems to me to be that the power supply is not seeing a good power signal
or something similar, so the motherboard will not accept power. Do you
concur or could it be something else?
I have:
replaced power supply
replaced memory
replaced CPU
and it is running on nothing but a floppy drive (video is on motherboard).
Thanks,
Clark
