All too frequently I click on the X in the upper right
corner of the screen, thinking that I'm closing a given
email message; only to find that I've clicked the X that
closes all of Outlook. I multi-task, and one of the ways
I maintain pending action items is to leave emails open -
knocking out the action items when I get back to the given
open email. Well, when I accidentally click the wrong X,
all of my pending items close down. I remember some of
them obviously but I always wonder if something might have
escaped me by being inadvertently closed down.
One fix for this would be to have Outlook ask for
confirmation on close. As in a dialogue box that says
something like "You've chosed to exit Outlook, are you
sure you want to continue? YES - NO". Is there a way to
configure outlook so that it requests confirmation upon
exit?
Thanks.....
