I just figured out that I have been accidentally deleting my Contacts and
cannot find anyway to stop that. Is there no way to set it up to confirm
delete for Contacts?

only when you empty the deleted folder via confirm delete disabled in tools,
options, other, advanced. How are you accidentally deleting the contacts?

You always have a second chance when you inadvertently delete something.
It's called your Deleted Items folder. If you discover you've deleted
something you didn't want to delete, just fetch it from the Deleted tems
folder.

just moving across the keyboard to fast and hitting the delete key by
accident and not realizing it.

I understand that but sometimes I do not realize I deleted a contact.

Try to slow down a little then and pay attention to where your finger are.
