Confimation before sending email

My boss reports that as he types an email message, he sometimes hits the wrong key (he doesn't know which key) that causes his email to be sent immediately. He has spell check "on" but it passes spell check (no spelling errors) and is sent immediately. Is there some way to add a "confirmation to send email" button so that no matter what key he hits - he is asked the question before sending email....hopefully this would stop the automatic send email problem he is having

(Make sure he's not pressing Alt+S accidentally.)

Otherwise, I don't think you can do that but this is what I would do.
Use the spell-check in a wise fashion:

Create a signature with a purposely misspelled word, e.g. 'mispelled',
so that when he accidentally sends the message the spell-check will
catch the misspelled word and won't send the message, thereby
prompting him to change it before sending. This way any new message
won't ever get sent without being prompted first.

Lemme know what happens.
